DESCRIPTION:Join us online\, using Zoom to talk about the cost of raising a child today\, budgeting for a baby\, key federal government support programs and more\, with guest speaker V.P. (Vince) Mayne\, CPA. \nDuring this session\, we will learn how to: \n\nBudget for your baby\, including the hidden costs\nUnderstand EI maternity and parental leave for you and your spouse\nPlan for childcare and childcare expense deductions\nStart teaching your kids about money.\n\nView PDF flyer. \n\nAbout our guest speaker: Prior to retiring V.P. (Vince) Mayne progressed through financial management positions of increasing\nresponsibility to controller position at CIBC’s IT business unit. Earlier\, he worked in finance and accounting positions at Nestlé\, Shell\, Texaco and Imperial Oil. More recently\, Vince has expanded his volunteer portfolio to include the CPA Canada financial literacy workshops. Over a period of 7 years Vince personally hosted numerous workshops in local schools\, senior citizens’ centres and small businesses throughout Ontario. Although CPA Canada labels its service to Canadians as financial literacy\, Vince maintains that ‘financial wellness’ better describes the value of his volunteer effort. \n\nLanguage interpretation is available\, based on need.
