DESCRIPTION:Join our SWIS team online\, using Zoom\, or in person at ISGW for this session. \nSettlement and migration can be stressful for youth (13-19). Adjusting to a new country can present a list of challenges\, which if unaddressed\, can lead to negative outcomes. These challenges include: \n\nIntergenerational disconnect\nFinancial instability\nContact with the criminal justice system\nLack of belonging\n\nOur guest speaker: Nabeel Rahman\, M.A.\, R.S.W. Registered Social Worker\, Positive Thought Counselling Services \nThis workshop is developed to assist parents and caregivers in helping youth as they transition from adolescence to\nadulthood. The workshop will provide helpful strategies to: \n\nUnderstand the needs of your teenager\nEmpathize with their experiences\nValidate your own vulnerability\n\nView PDF flyer. \nLanguage interpretation is available\, based on need.
