DESCRIPTION:We Want You!\nBecome a Peer Leader at ISGW\nThe SWIS team is training youth Peer Leaders to welcome new high school students to their schools during two Newcomer Orientation Week events this September. \nDuring these events\, peer leaders will help newcomer students navigate their new school\, learn school routines and provide information about accessing resources in the school and the wider community. \nAs a Peer Leader you will: \n\nengage in leadership building activities\nhelp newcomer peers transition to a new school\nhelp build a sense of community in schools\nearn volunteer hours (by attending training and NOW events)\nreceive a Peer Leader certificate from ISGW\n\nView PDF flyer. \nPizza and refreshments will be provided! \nIn-person training takes place at Immigrant Services 104 Dawson Road\, Unit 102\, Guelph \nFor more information or to register\, contact Nahom at 226-332-0784 or ntekle@is-gw.ca \n  \n  \nThank you for your interest in this session.
