DESCRIPTION:Join us in person at ISGW to learn about the YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange (SWSE) Program. \nGuest speaker: Nick Firth\, local SWSE program coordinator \nThe program offers youth (who will be 16 or 17 this summer): \n\nThe opportunity to live and work in a French-speaking community in Québec for 6 weeks\nPaid\, full-time summer employment in the non-profit sector (camps\, child care\, museums\, etc.)\nA reciprocal homestay – youth are hosted in each other’s homes to deepen the cultural exchange\nThe support of local YMCA staff such as Nick\, who also coordinate weekly group activities\nNew relationships and friendships that continue beyond the duration of the program\n\nView PDF flyer. \nLanguage interpretation is available\, based on need.
