The Walking Group is an outdoor activity group for newcomers, who have permanent resident or refugee status, to practise English conversation while enjoying nature. It aims to help clients stay connected and improve their language skills while they are moving and walking together in a beautiful environment.
We are pleased to have Canadian Arab Women’s Association (CAWA) lead our walking group this summer. CAWA is a nonprofit organization that works to connect, support, and empower Arab women in Waterloo Region and Guelph. Their organization’s objective is to be the bridge that connects Arab women to each other and to broader Canadian society.
This group occurs bi-weekly at Royal City Park (near Wellington Street and Gordon Street).
