About our speakers:
Cindy Winkup is an Employment Advisor at Lutherwood in the Newcomer Career Support (NCS) program. She has over 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector with almost 10 in settlement services in language and employment programs for newcomers to Canada. Cindy is highly experienced in assessing client’s needs, assisting them in short and long-term career planning as well as helping with resume development, finding job leads and preparing for interviews. Cindy is passionate about helping her clients succeed and takes great joy in seeing them realize their goals.
Poli Proenza is an Employment Advisor at Lutherwood in the Newcomer Career Support program. She has over 10 years of experience in the settlement and employment sectors. In her current role, she assists newcomers and internationally trained professionals with career planning, job search readiness skills and strategies, writing resumes, preparing for job interviews, and developing effective self-marketing tools.
