We’re pleased to have guest speaker Carol Skillen, CPA, CGA present this session.
After retiring from a 25-year career at Canada Revenue Agency, Carol began volunteering with CPA Canada, presenting financial literacy sessions. She conducts these CPA Financial Literacy sessions because of her belief that everyone should possess the set of skills and knowledge that allows them to make informed and effective decisions with all of their financial resources. Or, at least, to have enough knowledge to know when they should ask more questions!
At this session we will talk about:
- The power of women and investing
- Money habits for long-term stability
- Considerations to investing – my options for for managing money
- Different types of investments
- Tax implications
- Planning for retirement
