This session will be presented with interpretation in Tigrinya.
Did you know? A housing subsidy is a payment to help you with your rent, paid to your landlord or to you directly. It’s based on your income and is typically 30% of your gross income. This approach is called Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) or Social Housing.
Join us in person at ISGW to learn about subsidized housing, particularly rent-geared-to-income housing with guest speaker Samantha White, Applicant Services Coordinator, County of Wellington – Housing Services.
At this session we will talk about:
- Basic eligibility, how to apply
- Managing your application
- Special priority/local priorities – what they are and how to apply
- Offers of housing
