SWIS Families: Empowering New Canadian Woman – Know your Rights and Responsibilities

This session will be presented in Tigrinya.

Tigrinya-speaking families are invited to join our SWIS team, in person at ISGW, to talk about:

Knowing your Rights:

1. Equality
2. Legal protection
3. Employment rights
4. Healthcare
5. Education

Knowing your Responsibilities:

1. Follow Canadian laws and regulations
2. Participate in society (vote, work, volunteer)
3. Support your family and children
4. Work towards financial independence
5. Learn English for better opportunity
