At this session, participants will gain knowledge of their rights and responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and increase their awareness of basic workplace health and safety issues. The session will take place in person, at Immigrant Services.
Participants will receive a certificate of participation at the end of this session.
Discussion topics include:
- Why health and safety is important
- Health and safety responsibilities
- Recognizing and controlling hazards
- Three workers’ rights
