Kindergarten Registration 2024 – Wellington Catholic DSB

The Wellington Catholic District School Board welcomes families to register their children for Kindergarten beginning Monday, January 8 for the 2024-2025 school year. Kindergarten at Wellington Catholic District School Board is a faith-based two-year program where children learn through play, exploration, and inquiry. During these two years, young students are introduced to the Wellington Catholic family and are provided with an important foundation for later learning.

To be eligible for registering in kindergarten, children:

• must be four years of age on or before December 31, 2024 to attend Year 1 Kindergarten
• must be five years of age on or before December 31, 2024 to attend Year 2 Kindergarten

Unique to Wellington Catholic DSB, families interested in having their child enter school immersed in an International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme have the option to do so at Sacred Heart CS in Guelph. Sacred Heart CS in Guelph has been certified as the only local public provider of the Primary Years Programme, and only the second in Ontario.

The process for Kindergarten registration is hybrid this year with pre-registration occurring conveniently online and a subsequent follow up from your local Catholic elementary school to complete the enrollment.
