Public Safety Event: Protecting Against Fraud and Crime

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Immigrant Services hosted a community event about public safety. We were thrilled to have a full house for the event and learned a lot about recognizing and protecting ourselves from fraud and crime!

Guest speakers from Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington and Victim Services Wellington presented FRAUD TALK and we learned how to recognize and protect ourselves from email, telephone, internet and social media fraud and scams.

A guest speaker from Guelph Police Service talked about the rising rates of distraction crime in our city and how to protect ourselves and our property from criminals.

We are grateful for our event sponsors: DENSO North America and ISGW Board of Directors 2025.

Proceeds from this event support United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin.
