SWIS Summer Activities 2022
During July and August, our SWIS team planned a series of summer activities for newly arrived Afghan and Ukrainian families. Activities focused on getting to know our area, learning English and having fun! Through this program, children and families participated in online English tutoring, crafternoons at ISGW making buttons, painting T-shirts and more. We spent a sunny day together at Bingemans Big Splash Water Park, explored Riverside Park, The Arboretum, University of Guelph and the Guelph Outdoor School. We were so pleased to meet everyone and spend some time learning and exploring together!
